Cardi B made history Sunday night with the first Grammy win of her career. She took home Best Rap Album for Invasion of Privacy, the first time in Grammys history that a solo female artist has won the award. Cardi is only the second woman to receive the honor; Lauryn Hill took home the award as a member of The Fugees in 1997 for the group’s album The Score.
Taking the stage to accept her award, Cardi nervously joked, “Oh, the nerves are so bad. Maybe I need to start smoking weed.” On top of winning the Grammy, she shared light on her fellow nominee Mac Miller, who family went on record saying if he doesn’t win they’re rooting for Cardi B. she caption her post by saying “WE WON A FUCKIN GRAMMY”
The music industry and fans worldwide gave Cardi B so much love. Below see the love she got from the hiphop community:

i don’t never wanna be propped up by tearing somebody else down. Seeing Cardi b win a Grammy make me feel like I won. Same with jay rock and Anderson. I feel for Travis cuz he really deserved that acknowledgement as well, but his moment is way bigger than the awards could say— J. Cole (@JColeNC) February 11, 2019
