Looks like Colin Powell is the new political figure in hot water over hacked emails. A report published by the New York Times says the former Secretary of State's private email had been hacked which shed light into inside private thoughts on Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and other former politicians who served with him under the George W. Bush Administration.
In a series of emails leaked by a DCLeakes.com, Powell calls Trump "a national disgrace and an international pariah" who led a "racist" birther movement. And he says that he resented Clinton dragging him into her email problems and that "everything she touches she kind of screws up with hubris."
The emails were first obtained by BuzzFeed.com and the Intercept after being ousted under password protection on DCLeakes, a site known for other ties to recent hacks involving many U.S. political figures and groups including Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
In a statement, a spokesman for Powell confirmed the emails are that of Powell's. "We have confirmed that the general has been hacked and that these are his emails, and at this time we have not other comment at this time."
