There is no doubt that hip-hop culture in Chicago is changing. In 2018 the city is brewing with talent, and with so music talent a platform is needed for them to be heard. Rising radio personally Hot Rod, has stepped up to the plate to serve as one of the many new "Gate Keepers" that has pledged to put on for the city. Hot Rod is the night jockey for Power 92 Chicago, and he has the city buzzing with his "Whats Hot Rod" list of new music from artists that often gets overlooked by mainstream radio.
This past weekend the reactions of his list, illustrated to the power of radio. What his list reaction means for artists, and their supporters. The list featured "Wrist Work" by a young rapper by the name of J.Sprado. J.Sprado is has been putting in work in the city, his track "Wassup" made it to our EAR TO THE STREETS Apple Music Playlist. The support from his team didn't go unnoticed they made sure ⚡️9RAD° was the topic of Saturday night. When J.Sprado track played of Power 92 , his supporters got real emotional. J.Sparado is a special talent that many are backing, and like Hot Rod stated via Instagram if your supporters are not going hard for you like this, then you need a circle.
