Actor and Singer Rotimi (Dre from Power) sat down with What's the Word Tv! Rotimi has finished his second season on the highly addictive Starz original series POWER and he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
The Haitian native first hit stardom at the age of fifteen when he won amateur night twice at the famed "Apollo Theatre" and the rest is history. During his time at Northwestern University, he continued to embark in his journey to Hollywood by appearing as a model in print AD's for Calvin Klein, ASOS, H&m and then he ventured over into acting first appearing as Darius Morrison in the Starz original series Boss starring Kelsey Grammar.
As Power wrapped up for season 3 and renewed for two more seasons, we can expect to see more of Rotimi! This summer he released a five song EP titled "Summer Bangerz," which included the hit song Lotto featuring 50 cent. He stopped in Chicago as part of sold out "Right Now" tour to discuss his upcoming projects including a Queen Latifah produced filmed starring Lorenz Tate, Meagan Good and Lance Gross titled "Deuces." He also is gearing up to release a debut album through G-Unit in 2017 as well as his return to Power next summer.
